“Lumitrix Living” London’s Coolest Pop-Up Concept Store
I had the pleasure of popping into the Lumitrix Concept Store this afternoon. The popup shop commands an enviable position on New Cavendish Street in London. With it’s fashionable W1 postcode, it is just a few steps away from the famous Marylebone High Street and set amongst an array of stylish boutiques and restaurants including Matches Fashion, Cire Trudon, Daylesford Organic and The Chiltern Firehouse.
The concept “pop-up” store was conceived by the truly inspirational Cara Connell, the CEO of Lumitrix. Lumitrix is an online photographic retailer, which provides customers with an insightful and personal approach to buying art. Its virtual ethos is to “to delight, challenge and inspire”, and with Cara’s careful curation and infectious passion, the retail experience certainly doesn’t disappoint. The pop up showcases a beautiful and varied selection of prints from the Lumitrix portfolio. My particular favourites are “Serenity II” an ethereal and intimate elephant scene by Caroline Gibello; as well as the impactful “Sindri”, a rather magnificent stallion of great prowess by Astrid Harrison (as seen in our featured image).
Cara’s stunning collection of artwork is set in perfect harmony to a considered selection of interior décor. To name but only a few items, an exquisite collection of Moroccan rugs from Francesca Gentilli, as well as beautifully proportioned restored sofas, striking tripod lamps and vintage signage from Original House Interiors. It was also an enormous pleasure to see a selection of our own antique Chinese benches, roundels and tribal shell necklaces in the store. A touch of the Orient, or in the words of Cara herself, “a good dose of the exotic”!
As well as Cara, I had the pleasure of meeting Molly Mahon who was in the throws of running a printing course in the store amidst a fabulous array of paper, paint and intricate printing blocks. Molly has also added her own dynamic mix of home products to the space, which includes a super stylish collection of one off beautiful hand printed heirloom boxes, as well as sumptuous linen backed cushions. All are sure to guarantee a fantastic pop of colour to any interior.
The store oozes a well placed and unique design aesthetic. In addition, Cara and her team also use the space to host an inspiring series of discussions, which vary from professional wellbeing to hand-tied floral bouquet classes by the renowned Bloom & Wild. All in all, we are chuffed to bits to see some of products in this beautiful space and it is well worth a visit!!!
The Lumitrix Concept Store will be located at 32-34 New Cavendish Street, London W1G 8UE until Saturday 29th April. Further information can be found at www.lumitrix.com.

I love a good pop-up shop (what did we do before they existed?) and this one looks fab! Thanks for sharing a peek into what’s on offer.
Glad you liked it Rachel.
Having previously bought from Lumitrix (African Boy) and met with the owners in a past Decorex International, I can tell you how enthusiastic they are and how professional.
So true. They have a great team at Lumitrix.
